The Prosecco Candy Floss cocktail is truly a match made in heaven! You could call this light, fluffy pink, and sophisticated drink a valentine’s cocktail but you’d only be limiting the realm of this magic drink that way. 

A pretty edible flower, combined with an elixir of gin, prosecco, and that garnishing pillow of candy floss, this cocktail serves no less than a complete dessert.

Just look at it. Look at that sweet pillow. Look at that edible flower. This drink is like a bride - the most beautiful thing of the day. The best part? If you just change the color of candy floss and complementary liquids, you can have different-flavored, beautiful-lookin’ celebratory drinks throughout the year!

Candy Floss was first invented back in 1897, went viral in 1904, and it was only a matter of time before all the food and drink recipes started flowing in. The origins of this cocktail are unknown and variations are various.

Ingredients

  • A bag of fluffy candy floss
  • A handful of white/pink edible flowers
  • A bottle of Pink Prosecco with a rose/fruity flavor
  • A bottle of Rose Gin

Can’t see sugar? Well, that’s because we’re going to have you satisfy your sweet tooth with the topped candy floss. 

Also, it goes without saying but since it is a candy floss themed cocktail, always use a complementary-colored gin and prosecco. In our case, go with a bottle of rose gin and pink prosecco that has a valentine-y touch to it. 

The Equipment You Will Need

  • 1 x Vintage champagne glass
  • 1 x Teaspoon or Cocktail stick

A Dessert In Itself: Let’s Build This Little Piece of Heaven!

  1. Pour one part of chilled rose gin into the champagne glass.
  2. Top up with the sparkling prosecco, but don’t fill it up to the top.
  3. Use the cocktail stick and stir the liquid up a bit, but not a lot. Let this bride sparkle. 
  4. Veil the bride with a candy floss on top of glass – don’t let the veil touch the cocktail.
  5. Add the white/pink edible flower and make it prettier.
  6. Let your guest savour this little piece of heaven.
