Prosecco and Chambord Cocktail

We chose this beautiful Prosecco and Chambord Cocktail for two reasons; firstly, because it’s amazing and second is because it makes you look amazing. You’ll find out how in a while but if we could just take a moment to appreciate how sexy and beautiful this drink looks!

The delicious raspberries on the top make us want to feel those delicious Chambord-dipped spheres of sweetness right away. How that steamy-chilled champagne flute filled with the refreshing and chilly cocktail, having separate layers of Prosecco and Chambord makes us want to devour it at once.

You’d never know it if you haven’t seen it live.

The Chambord is known to have been inspired by the raspberry drink that was made in Loire Valley in the late 17th century. It’s said that the drink was introduced to Louis XIV during his visit to the chateau de Chambord.

The date of this exact Prosecco x Chambord crossover is unknown but let’s just say that somebody discovered this fizzy and fruity goodness and didn’t keep us in the dark.

The best part, you can have this drink throughout the year! By the looks of this elegant boy, we’d say that it would really pop on the Valentines and Christmas in particular.

Ingredients

  • 1 x Teaspoon of Chambord Raspberry Liquor
  • 1 x Bottle of Cinzano Prosecco (Or any prosecco with fruity and fizzy notes)
  • A few fresh raspberries

The Equipment You’ll Need

  • 1 x Teaspoon
  • 1 x Champagne flute

How Do You Make This Christmas Prosecco Cocktail?

Okay, so here’s the perfect method to make it. We mentioned that it makes you look amazing, right? Well, here’s how:

  1. Let’s say you’re having a party/dinner and you’re waiting for your guests to arrive. Fill each champagne flute with a single teaspoon of Chambord and throw 2-3 fresh raspberries into each flute, throw an empty teaspoon beneath the raspberries, and place the flutes aside on the table.
  2. After your guests have arrived, take out your bottle of Cinzano Prosecco.
  3. Pour the Prosecco gently on the teaspoon inside the flute.
  4. The dipped raspberries in the Chambord will float and come to the top, leaving the original Chambord layer separated from the prosecco. Your ability to keep the layers separated while doing the floating raspberry trick will woo your guests at once!
  5. Serve and enjoy!

Appetizer Ideas For Prosecco x Chambord Cocktail

Over the years, we’ve come to realise that prosecco happens to be a very food friendly wine. It fits well with almonds, cured meats, smoked salmon, chilled shrimp, stuffed mushrooms, and more!

Any drink with large portions of prosecco would do well with any of the above foods! Apart from this, prosecco has an excellent chemistry with spicy Asian foods. Not to mention, a serving of Sushi as an appetizer with this drink before the actual dinner would 10/10 bang.

Can I Try This Recipe With The Champagne?

Sure, go ahead. Get yourself a bottle of French Sparkling wine and have at it – it will almost taste the same.

The only difference between Champagne and Prosecco is that Champagne is French while Prosecco is Italian. As opposed to the traditional method of Champagne, Prosecco is made using the tank method and that’s exactly why it is the economical option.
