The Gin Prosecco Spritz is a classic example of a stylish, celebratory, and easy cocktail!
When I went to Italy four years ago, I noticed that almost everybody was sipping on this delicious, sparkly, orangey cocktail. I asked around in a café or two and discovered this wonderful drink, traditionally known as ‘Spritz’.
I took out my phone, I looked it up, and I got to discover the tracks of this name leading back to 1800s when people from Austro-Hungarian empire had found these ‘too-strong’ wines and they’d lighten them up with a splash of water.
The word ‘Spritz’ originally means ‘a splash’ in German.
Infused with gin, prosecco, fruity tastes and floral aromas, let’s hook you up with the recipe of this new cocktail. And it’s not exactly the one I had in Italy — wait for it — it’s even better!

What Is The Best Time To Have A Gin Prosecco Spritz?
A Gin Prosecco Spritz can be enjoyed as a digestif (after a meal) and as an aperitif (before a meal) both. You can utilize the drink and serve it with a snack or two in the stopgap before a meal and it’ll stimulate the appetite.
If you want to enjoy it after a meal, that’s okay as well since it’s going to aid your digestion. Moreover, it’s a celebratory drink. You can have it any time on any day of the year and know the drink will serve its purpose! It’s an apple juice, but for adults.
Now, imagine yourself sitting at a café in Lake Como while you sip away this beautiful drink.
