Gin Fizz Prosecco

You heard it right. The same old classic - light, sour, and citrus flavor but with Prosecco! Are you familiar with the traditional Gin Fizz? No? Well, are you familiar with a Fizz, then? Because that’s how you narrow down the structure of it. Still no?

Alright. Let’s put it this way, a Fizz is a mixed drink variation with acidic juice and carbonated water as key features. When you add Gin to it, it becomes a Gin Fizz! And when you add Prosecco to it, it becomes the Gin Fizz Prosecco!

It is THE refreshing drink to go for in the deadly heat of the summers. It is light, easy to mix up, and lets you play with the customizations. Want to add a fruit juice to the recipe? Go for it. Want to enjoy the authentic gin fizz with the egg whites? By all means make it a part of your recipe too.

The Gin Fizz was invented in 1888 by Henry C. Ramos at his bar. Now, in 2021, we’re giving you another refreshing and sparkling variation on the traditional. Presenting you, the Gin Fizz Prosecco!

Ingredients

If you want to enjoy and benefit from the Gin Fizz Prosecco in the truest sense, go buy yourself a bottle of Cinzano Prosecco. That’s also the Prosecco we’ll be using for this recipe.

  • 25ml Lemon Juice
  • 30ml Cinzano Prosecco
  • 5ml Sugar Syrup
  • A few ice-cubes
  • Lemon slice for a nice and refreshing garnish

How Do You Make This Prosecco Version of The Gin Fizz?

  2. Pour the almost-ready version of our Gin Fizz into a tall glass.
  3. Top it up with Cinzano Prosecco and serve it with a round lemon slice for a refreshing finish.
  4. Easy to make, light, and refreshing. Enjoy!

A Few Tips That Might Come In Handy

There are many variations to the Gin Fizz and often times, a delicious cocktail can be made just after changing a single ingredient. The Royal Gin Fizz uses an egg white or in some cases, a complete egg – the foamy texture changes a lot about the whole drink. Similarly, adding a new fruity combination to the drink will always yield interesting results every time. Change from an egg white to an egg yolk and you’ll have a golden gin fizz!

If you’re deciding to include an egg in the Gin Fizz Prosecco, first make sure that the egg is fresh. You can do this by placing the egg in a glass of water, the egg is fresh if it sinks to the bottom of the glass.

The Gin Fizz Prosecco will taste different with each brand/bottle of the Gin and Prosecco. We think it’s pretty cool to have that in your corner and enjoy multiple flavors.
