Brief History of the Freixenet Prosecco

The business began in 1861 with the name of Casa Sala, the predecessor of Freixenet. Initially started as a group, after the launch of first bottle of sparkling wine under the Freixenet brand in 1914, the brand took its roots. During 1936, at the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War, the brand has already become the second champagne and the rest is history. They have been making exquisite wines since then!

A Bottle of Freixenet Prosecco Goes Great With

Since the Freixenet Prosecco, DOC or DOCG, packs a very well-refined and nice combination of fruity and floral, aromas and notes, it’s always a great idea to curate a nice-looking and even a better tasting cocktail with it.

Here are a few to begin with:

  1. Cynar Spritz

The Italian Summer jam, Aperol Spritz is famous, but the Cynar Spritz is just as delicious and refreshing. You get it by combining Cynar, an Italian bitter liquor, as well as topping it all up with your Freixenet bubbly.

  1. Pom Fizz

This can be a to-go cocktail for your prosecco cravings. Just have yourself some ready-made juice of pomegranate in the fridge (can last up to 2 weeks) and top it up with chilled prosecco whenever you want to enjoy it!

  1. Airmail Prosecco

Rum, Honey, and Prosecco – the most elegant combination to ever exist in the history of cocktails. Let this take the center stage whenever you are hosting the next party!
