Prosecco Sangria

Prosecco Sangria is perfect to sip on while feeling the sun on your skin, and if you also want to indulge in a little summer day drinking. This wine is a very easy five minutes wine (that is after letting the Prosecco sit for a while), which can be paired with literally any fruit of choice. There is no way this recipe can be messed up because it is just throwing in Prosecco, Sangria and a bunch of fruits in a wine glass. Okay, it is not made exactly like this, but that is the general idea.

This recipe is a dedication to everyone who wants nice cocktails but don’t have time to go over to the local bar, this is a very easy to make recipe that can be whipped up at any time and by anyone. No special bartending skill is needed to make this recipe which is definitely a plus.

Ingredients

  • 1 peach
  • 5 ounces peach brandy
  • 1 bottle Corte Alla Flora Prosecco (It would be perfect for this recipe because of its flora notes)
  • 1 cup peach nectar
  • Castor sugar (optional)
  • 4 apricots
  • Sprig of mind (optional)

How to Make Prosecco Sangria

Method:

  1. Cut your fruits (peach, apricot, nectarine) into small bite-size pieces.
  2. Muddle fruits to release the juices.
  3. Stir in the peach brandy and allow to sit for at least an hour.
  4. Stir in the Prosecco and peach nectar. Add castor sugar (if desired).
  5. Serve chilled filled with ice.
  6. Add a sprig of mint if required.

Tips for making this delicious cocktail

  •  Make sure your prosecco is chilled before adding it to the other ingredients, and add it just before serving, so it still maintains its sparkle even after being served.
  •  It would be better not to use any frozen fruit as they always contain water and would end up watering down the cocktail.
  •  This cocktail would be on the sweet side, so it would be great paired with savory cheeses, fruits, or seafood. It would also go great with Pad Thai or any other savory food.

Interesting Sangria Fact

While it is well known that most Americans first tasted the red wine punch at the 1964 World Fair, Sangrias has been around for a very long time. It originated in Spain and Portugal, and it is made up of red wine and chopped fruit. Sangrias can be mixed with a variety of fruits like peaches, nectarines, berries, apples, pears, and so much more. Sangria is a drink that is perfect for all weathers, especially in the summer, from drinks like Watermelon Mint Sangria to Cherry Limeade Sangria.
